For new project exploration in countryside revitalization, our volunteers got up early to take the boat from Ma Liu Shui Public Pier at 8:30am to Sham Chung in the Northern Sai Kung to explore local community and history along the old trail of preacher, with local NGO. We wish to create more impact after our countryside revitalization project in Lai Chi Wo and Yim Tin Tsai. Let’s see our journey.

EWB-Bangladesh has finished WASH – Slum sanitary latrine in Rajshahi city, Bangladesh. The people live on the bank of Padma River slum with unhygienic environment. Wastewater is directly discharged into river. While our journey in Myanmar, we just start our story in Yangon Urban Sum to provide repair services to Monastic School in Hlaingtharyar township.'

EWB-HK has curated Urban Sustainability Series to raise awareness of our volunteers on it. Speaker Introduction:

Christopher is passionate about city liveability. He is ardent supporter of stakeholder participation in city building and encourages this form of engagement across social, ecological, and economic capital aspects in the place making process. Chris has got involved into many public committees in HK including Antiquities Advisory Board, the Urban Design Advisory Group of the Development Bureau, the Development Committee of the West Kowloon Cultural District and Chairman of both the heritage conservation and community participatory Viva Blue House Project, and the Community Development Committee of the St James’ Settlement.

EWB-HK would like to engage more volunteers and students to provide quality education to My Place chidlrens during school suspension in Myanmar. 6 Pilot classes will be conducted online on June to July 2020 in theme namely, Coding, Logistic Logics, Maths with Graphical Arts, Sustainability and WASH.

Afterwards we will keep online class to My Place on weekend twice per month.

現正招募義務工程師加入香港項目委員會 (Hong Kong Projects Committee)的新項目，一同參與兩項分別位於荔枝窩村毗鄰的河道以及附近的小灘石牆的前期策劃及現場視察活動。首次活動將進行現場視察，了解需要進行工程服務的範圍和現況，以配合籌劃以下兩項工程:

1. 與香港鄉郊基金合作，現場視察荔枝窩村河道的堵塞情況，籌劃透過清理河道的工程，改善在雨季河道氾濫的情況，從而促進農地複耕。
2.  與環保署合作，到現場視察因颱風山竹對荔枝窩一段近岸石板路徑及鄉郊舊石牆的損壞作出評估，籌劃透過傳統砌石方法回復原貌。

是次荔枝窩現場視察的主要工作:
1. 由香港項目委員會帶領下， 進行現場視察；
2. 透過現場視察，日後項目會議等，以籌劃工程範圍及時間表，並考慮施工方法、安全及工程相關的問題；
3. 分享工程相關知識和經驗
